>
An Energy Assessment is the first step in evaluating how much energy your home consumes and to evaluate what measures you can take to make it more energy efficient.
>
It will show you problems that may, when corrected, save you significant amounts of money over time.
>
During the assessment, you can pinpoint where your house is losing energy.
>
It will determine the efficiency of your home's heating and cooling systems, as well as, may also show you ways to conserve hot water and electricity.
>
You can perform a simple energy assessment yourself, or have a professional energy assessor (Building Analyst) carry out a more thorough evaluation.

A WYDEVUE Building Analyst uses a variety of techniques and equipment to determine the energy efficiency of a structure.

We use equipment such as blower doors, which measure the extent of leaks in the building envelope, and infrared cameras, which reveal hard-to-detect areas of air infiltration and missing insulation.
WYDEVUE is a BPI certified professional and a Maine Home Performance Contractor.

  2. For you to be able to receive objective answers as to where you can get the greatest return for your home improvement dollar - Before you blindly invest in costly measures such as windows or heating systems that probably will not give you the results that you were looking for
  3. And, then with real information received from your energy bills combined with the testing be able to make a decision that will work for you and your family
